Bids reviewed for proposed revaluation
JOHNSTOWN – An Erie County firm was the lowest of three requests for proposals opened Friday to conduct a revaluation of all city properties.
The Common Council had sought RFPs for a full revaluation of the city’s more than 3,000 parcels.
According to city Clerk Cathy A. VanAlstyne, the lowest proposal was $220,000 from GAR Associates of Amherst, Erie County. That firm spoke about its services to the council in February. VanAlstyne said the other proposals opened were from: KLW Municipal Inc. of Buffalo – $227,900; and Emminger Newton Pigeon Magyar Inc. of Buffalo – $272,250.
The city doesn’t have to take the lowest cost consultant proposal. The proposals will likely be discussed at the next council meeting April 7 at City Hall.
