Schwabrow owed about $8,900
JOHNSTOWN – Former city Patrolman Adam Schwabrow, who recently pleaded guilty to raping a 16-year-old girl, will receive nearly $9,000 in accrued back pay.
City Treasurer Michael Gifford said Monday he computed Schwabrow is still owed about $8,900 in back pay and “that’s it.” Schwabrow earned just more than $73,000 in 2013 and was suspended with pay before his plea.
Schwabrow was charged Sept. 19 by his own department with felony third-degree rape, commonly known as statutory rape. He pleaded guilty in Fulton County Court to felony third-degree rape and subsequently resigned.
The 32-year-old former K-9 handler and president of the Johnstown Police Benevolent Association is expected to be sentenced May 13 to a year in the county jail, and will be required to register as a sex offender.
