Man hit person with phone: police
GLOVERSVILLE – A man was charged by city police for allegedly throwing a cellphone at another person.
Ryan J. Burton, 23, of 38 Grove St., was charged Friday by city police with first-degree criminal contempt, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree attempted assault and false personation.
On Feb. 24, Burton threw a cellphone during a domestic dispute, striking the victim in the head and causing a minor injury, police said.
According to police, the victim was holding an infant.
Police said Burton gave a false name to conceal his identity on Friday. Another officer arrived on the scene who knew Burton and identified him, police said.
Burton was sent to the Fulton County Jail, police said.
