Educators sought for FM academy
JOHNSTOWN – Fulton-Montgomery Community College is seeking educators for its Summer Academy.
According to a news release, an ideal instructor is a creative, engaging professional who enjoys working with young people and can develop an exceptional learning experience that students will remember.
“For over 10 years, the FM Summer Academy has provided area youth in grades three to eight with fun educational experiences,” academy coordinator Audrey Egelston said in the news release. “In the past, FM Summer Academy has offered courses in unique topics such as culinary arts, cosmetology, digital photography, genealogy and paranormal investigating.”
The academy will run for three weeks, July 14 through 28. Each week will have morning (9 a.m. to noon) and afternoon (1 to 4 p.m.) sessions. Instructors may teach half-day or full-day sessions.
