Why leave carts all over?

Well, curiosity has got the better of me. I would like to know why so many people remove shopping carts from stores and push them (and leave them) all over town.

What gets me is nobody seems to care.

Well, I care. First of all, isn’t it theft? And secondly, these carts cost the stores $100 to $200 when these carts come up missing or damaged. Who do you think the replacement costs are passed on to? It is passed on to consumers.

A lot of people are complaining about the high costs of things (and I’m not trying to make this narrow point so broad), but when people are turning a blind eye to common sense, broad daylight, black-and-white sensibilities, it is everybody’s problem and everybody’s fault.

I know a debate about shopping carts seems silly, but, come on, where’s the dignity? Where’s the integrity?
