FMCC women top Hudson Valley, 76-67

TROY – Monae Abrams finished with 18 points and 17 rebounds, leading the Fulton-Montgomery Community College women’s basketball team to a 76-67 win over Hudson Valley Community College in a Region III contest Wednesday.

Sherice Gayle and Kassandra Flowers each scored 14 points for the Lady Raiders, who led 36-35 at halftime.

Gayle also pulled down 17 rebounds for FMCC.

Stephanie Rice added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Lady Raiders.

My’Asia Alston scored 20 points and had nine rebounds to lead Hudson Valley (13-8 overall), while Sam Tomeck had 19 points and eight rebounds. Sierra Sangetti-Daniels posted 11 points for the Vikings, while Shikera Lawson posted 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

FMCC (19-3 overall) will travel to Monroe College in New Rochelle for a 2 p.m. game on Sunday.
