Barber competes at regional tourney

UTICA – Mayfield graduate Selena Barber, a member of the Herkimer County Community College women’s bowling team, helped the Generals to a fifth-place finish at the regional tournament at AMF Pin-O-Rama.

Herkimer finished with a total of 6,979 pins.

Barber paired with Destiny LeRoy for the doubles competition to finish 10th with a total of 1,299 pins.

Fonda-Fultonville graduate Danielle Flander and Wells graduate Desiree Gallup finished 18th for the Generals in the doubles competition with a total of 1,035 pins.

In singles play, Barber finished 19th with a 668 series, and she placed 13th in the overall standings with a total of 1,359 pins.

Gallup posted a 584 to place 34th in singles play, while Flander had a 471 series to finish 41st.

In the overall competition, Gallup was 1,067 to place 37th, while Flander placed 40th with a total of 1,023.

Herkimer will compete at the national tournament at Erie Community College from Feb. 27 through March 1.
