Hladik tourney slated for March 1

JOHNSTOWN – The 41st annual William Hladik bowling tournament will take place March 1 at 1 p.m. at Perry Lanes.

This is the oldest continuous running tournament in Fulton County and thousands of dollars in scholarships have been awarded to graduating high school students.

The tournament consist of five-person teams at a cost of $75 per team. It is regular bowling with a handicap of 80 percent of 1,100.

There will be prize raffles, money raffles and music provided by Dr. Kwazy Tunes.

Hladik perished in a fire in 1973 and since that time friends and family have a conducted a tournament to honor his memory and help local students.
