MaGinnis to exhibit at free library

FONDA – The Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., will feature the art of Garlyn MaGinnis of St. Johnsville this month.

MaGinnis received a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the College of St. Rose. She has specialized in stained glass, pet portraiture and hand-painted furniture, a news release said. She was the winner of the 2010 Mohawk Valley garlic and herb festival poster contest. She has been a member of the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, Montgomery County Educational and Cultural Council of the Arts and The Arts Factory of Montgomery County.

The exhibit can be viewed during the library hours: from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; from noon to 7 p.m. Friday; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
