Girls Basketball Roundup: Queensbury halts Lady Bills’ win streak

QUEENSBURY – Jill Davis delivered a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds to power league-leading Queensbury to the 61-43 Foothills Council victory over Johnstown on Thursday.

Nikari Carota added 16 points for the Lady Spartans, while Kelly McLaughlin contributed 10 points and six rebounds.

Brianna O’Rourke hit for 12 points for the Lady Bills and Hope Cerasuolo finished with 11 points.

AMSTERDAM – The Lady Rams and Lady Sabres battled through regulation and two overtimes before Schalmont pulled out the non-league victory Thursday at Amsterdam High School.

Nina Fedullo connected for a game-high 25 points for Amsterdam and Kaitlyn Devine hit for 11 points.

Ryanne Olsen hit three 3-pointers en route to her 18-point performance, while Hailee Metzold and Tralyn Randle added 13 points apiece for Schalmont.
