GOP names speaker for special event

JOHNSTOWN – The Fulton County Republican Club recently announced Assemblyman Kiernan Lalor will be the keynote speaker for the 54th annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

The dinner will be held Feb. 10 at the Johnstown Moose Family Center.

Lalor represents Dutchess County. A news release said that according to City and State Magazine, Lalor “is one of the most outspoken Republicans in the Assembly, unafraid to criticize Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, and especially vocal on issues of job creation, tax relief and reform.”

Lalor is a graduate of Providence College and Pace Law School and lives in Fishkill with his wife, Mary Jo, and their four children, the news release said.

Anyone who wants to join the club, attend the dinner or obtain more information about either the dinner or membership is asked to contact Jo-Ann Clear, treasurer, at 725-7791.
