Girls Basketball Roundup: Fort Plain loses to Bishop Gibbons

SCHENECTADY – Talya Williams finished with 15 points, leading Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons to a 41-38 win over Fort Plain in a non-league girls basketball game Monday.

The Lady Knights outscored the Lady Hilltoppers, 12-6, in the fourth quarter to rally from a 32-29 deficit.

Paris Jarrell scored 14 points for Bishop Gibbons (5-8 overall), which halted Fort Plain’s eight-game win streak.

Abby Boyer scored 15 points to lead Fort Plain (11-4 overall), while Haley Kilmartin added 12 points.

SHARON SPRINGS – Renee Handy hit a 3-point with less than a minute to play, lifting Sharon Springs to a non-league win over Northville.

It was the first win of the season for the 1-13 Lady Spartans.

Kara VanArsdale scored 10 points to lead Sharon Springs.

Lyndsey Wadsworth finished with nine points to lead Northville (4-9 overall).
