Lindsey Lee Heiser, the daughter of Jeffrey and Joanne Heiser of Canajoharie, was united in marriage to Joshua David Hodge, the son of David and Sherri Hodge of Canajoharie, at 4 p.m. Sept. 1, 2013.
The ceremony took place at the Glen Sanders Mansion, Scotia, under a gazebo along the Mohawk River. The Rev. Gail Wolling of Syracuse, Onondaga County, officiated. Violinist, Leo Milman performed the music.
The bride is the granddaughter of Sadie Dillenbeck and the late William Dillenbeck Jr. of Fort Plain, and Paul Heiser and the late Bernice Heiser of Canajoharie. The bridegroom is the grandson of Rudolph Salvagni and the late Rose Marie Salvagni and Ronald Hodge, all of Canajoharie, and Donna Raeder of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The maid of honor was Arielle Mueller of Clifton Park, Saratoga County. The matron of honor was Kaley Dillenbeck Bonfey of Mayfield. The bridal attendants were Stephanie Carrillo of Los Angeles, Calif.; Jenny Wheeler of Orlando, Fla.; Emily Heiser and Jessica Dillenbeck Wilson, both of Canajoharie; and Angelina LoCascio of Albany. The flower girl was Sofia Heiser of Canajoharie, niece of the bride.
The best men were Ryan Hodge of Canajoharie and Joseph Kiefl of South Carolina. The groomsmen were Bela Vonnak of Waltham, Mass.; Thomas Hayden of Boston, Mass.; Travis Heiser of Canajoharie; Craig Rogers of Johnstown; Cory Scanlon of Liverpool, Onondaga County; and Daniel McDermont of Long Island.
A reception for 200 guests took place in the ball room at the Glen Sanders Mansion.
A wedding trip to the Sandals, Whitehouse, Jamaica, is planned for February. The couple resides with their beagle, Muggsy, in Palatine Bridge.
Heiser is a 2006 graduate of Canajoharie Central School and a 2010 graduate of Post University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is working toward a master’s degree in social welfare from the State University of New York at Albany.
Hodge is a 2005 graduate of Canajoharie Central School and a 2009 graduate from SUNY Oswego with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. He received a master’s degree in literacy from SUNY Albany and is a fourth grade teacher at Barkley Elementary School, Amsterdam.
