GOP caucus slated in Broadalbin Jan. 28
BROADALBIN – The village will have a Republican Party caucus at 7 p.m. Jan. 28 in the village municipal building. The purpose of the caucus is to nominate candidates for the offices to be filled at the next general village election on March 18, according to a news release.
The offices to be filled at that election are: Village justice for a four-year term; two trustees, each for a two-year term; and one trustee for a one-year term. These positions are currently held by Broadalbin Village Justice Joseph W. Gilston and trustees Lawrence Cornell, L. Eric Jones and Mario Cristaldi. All of the incumbents are seeking re-election, the release said.
The participation in the caucus is limited to village residents who are registered Republicans, the release said.
