Gloversville girls fifth, boys sixth
SCHENECTADY – The Gloversville girls indoor track and field team placed fifth Saturday at the Tri-County Indoor Track League meet at Union College.
The Huskies finished with 33 points, while the Gloversville boys placed sixth with 35 points.
In the girls meet, Chanel Thomas set a new school record of 34-10 in the triple jump and placed second in the event. She also was sixth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.6 seconds.
Alex Bielli won the 600 meters for Gloversville with a time of 1:45.1, while Cassandra Ryan was second in the 1,000 meters.
Caroline Bakyta (48.2 seconds) was sixth in the 300 meters, while Tierney VanDuesen (12:37) was fifth in the 3,000 meters.
In the boys meet, Hunter Marshall won the 3,200 meters with a time of 11:15.
Michael Budka was second in the pole vault with a height of 12-0, while Cory Miller was fifth with a height of 10-6.
Jack Hayes (40.7 seconds) was fifth in the 300 meters, while Anthony Bravo (40.9) was sixth. Hayes also was sixth in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:59.
Justin Unislawski (2:54) was third in the 1,000 meters, while Adam Sleezer (5:14) was sixth in the 1,600 meters.
Zachary Funk added sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 37-0 for the Huskies.
Gloversville also placed fourth in the 4 x 400 relay and sixth in the 4 x 200 and 4 x 800 relays.
