Ex-IDA treasurer honored for service
JOHNSTOWN – The Fulton County Board of Supervisors on Monday issued a proclamation honoring former Fulton County Industrial Development Agency Treasurer Francis Reed for his community service.
Johnstown 4th Ward Supervisor William Waldron read at the proclamation at the County Office Building. The proclamation noted Reed – a former Johnstown mayor – retired from the IDA on Dec. 31. He was appointed to the IDA in August 1995.
“Fran was instrumental in setting up the accounting system and internal controls currently utilized by the Industrial Development Agency,” the proclamation read. “The Board of Supervisors hereby commends and expresses its appreciation to Francis Reed for his many years of dedicated service to the advancement of economic development efforts and to the community at large.”
