Glens Falls defeats Gloversville, 99-81

GLOVERSVILLE – Glens Falls won seven of 12 events on its way to a 99-81 win over Gloversville on Friday at Gloversville Middle School.

David Mauro won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly for Glens Falls, while Tylor Duguay (200 individual medley), Raislan Aiken (1-meter diving) and Garret Frandsen (50 freestyle) also posted wins.

Glens Falls also won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

Matt Helou (100 freestyle), Hunter Pieniazek (500 freestyle), Anthony Oathout (100 backstroke) and Chris Town (100 breaststroke) notched wins for the Sea Dragons.

Gloversville also won the 400 freestyle relay.

On Saturday, Gloversville finished 12th at the Schenectady Invitational.

The Sea Dragons finished with 26 points. Canisius won the team title with 381.5 points, while Shaker was second with 340 points.

Helou was 13th in the 50 freestyle.

In the 1-meter diving event, Austin Flynn was ninth, Nick Herrlett was 10th and Alex Nellis was 15th.

Gloversville also was 16th in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.
