Frances ‘Frannie’ Rose Wells

Frances “Frannie” Rose Wells, 80, of Granville, NY, formerly of Northville, NY, passed away after a brief illness on January 6, 2014, in the hour of Christ’s greatest mercy, at home surrounded by family.

She was born on August 31, 1933, in Schenectady, NY, to Rose and Joseph Tamarazio. The oldest of three children, she is survived by her sister, Rose Marie Joralemon (Martin, belated) of Cheektowaga, NY; and brother, Michael (Karen) Tamarizo of Roterdam, NY. Frances was married on August 31, 1957, to Raymond J. Wells, who passed away in 2007. She is also survived by their four children, Laura (Henry) Bauer of Troy, NY, Timothy (Laura) Wells of Danville, VT, Lisa Wells (companion, Paul Morris) of Granville, NY, Melissa Wells of Granville, NY; six grandchildren, Elizabeth and Veronica Bauer, Logan and Nathan Hall, Michaela and Tyler Wells.

After raising her children, Frances returned to the workforce. She took great pride and care in her profession of certified home health aide in Fulton and Hamilton counties. After retirement she enjoyed her church community, sitting in the sun while watching Raymond work in the garden, and never missing an opportunity to talk about her grandchildren.

In recent years she befriended a neighbor in need, Dennis Alter. They were the best of friends until his passing in 2012.

Frannie will be missed by all who knew her, and will be remembered as a woman of great strength and resolve.

Frances’ family is grateful for the compassion and support of the Pastor Bill Steinmetz and the congregation of Granville Assembly of God , High Peaks Hospice and her friends of The Baptist Church of Nothville, NY during her illness.

There will be calling hours from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church Street, Granville, NY 12832 followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
