Marilyn A. Rhinehart

Mrs. Marilyn A. Rhinehart of Johnstown, passed away suddenly, at home, on January 1, 2014. She was born April 17, 1935, in Benson N.Y., daughter of the late Harold D. and Agnes (Manzer) Maderick. She was educated in Northville schools and Eastern Nazarene College. Marilyn had been employed as a data analyst for Taylor Made Products for 52 years, retiring about seven years ago. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruises and was an avid reader. Her first love and passion in life was her music. In her earlier years, Marilyn served as organist at the Northville Baptist Church, and later as organist and choir director at Fremont Street United Methodist Church in Gloversville for 35 years. For the past three years, she was music director at the Mayfield United Methodist Church in Mayfield. She played at hundreds of weddings and was highly sought out for various special occasions. Marilyn made each person she met feel special. She will be sadly missed.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert W. Rhinehart, whom she married October 22, 1983. She is also survived by stepchildren, cousins and countless friends she made seem like family.

A memorial service honoring her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the Mayfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jerry Oliver, pastor, officiating.
