Budka set indoor pole vault mark
SCHENECTADY – Mike Budka set a new indoor pole vault school record for Gloversville and Chanel Thomas earned a pair of individual victories Saturday at a non-scoring indoor track meet at Union College.
Budka won the pole vault clearing the bar at 12-09 to establish the new indoor mark for the Huskies.
Thomas won the long jump with a leap of 16-09 and the high hurdles with her time of 7.9.
Cory Miller placed third in the pole vault with a height of 11-0 and Luther Sledge was third in the shot put with a toss of 40-0.
Carolyn Peck won the 600-meter run for Gloversville with her time of 1:55 and ran a leg on the victorious 1,600-meter relay team with Alex Bielli, Brianna Port and Brittany Craven with a time of 4:45.1.
Craven also finished second in the 1,500-meter run with her time of 5:24.
Hunter Marshall, Phil Meher, Jacob Perez and Adam Sleezer teamed up to place third in the 3,200-meter relay with a time of 9:45.
