Thanks for helping efforts

On behalf of the Salvation Army and those we serve, we would like to extend a big thank you to all those who have helped support the Salvation Army efforts this Christmas season.

Thank you to those businesses and individuals who supported our First Annual Kettle Kick Off Breakfast, and to the Salvation Army Advisory Board for making this new tradition possible.

Thank you to patrons of The Leader-Herald generously supporting the Warm the Children program and its volunteers who helped take children shopping.

Thank you to those who adopted soldier tags and families this Christmas. Thank you to those who hosted toy drives on behalf of the Salvation Army. Thank you to those who supported the second annual Walmart Fill-A-Truck Warm Clothing and Toy Drive.

Thank you to all who have donated to the Red Kettle and thank you to all who have stood at the kettles ringing for the Salvation Army. We are still working toward meeting our goal – year-end gift donations can be sent directly to the Salvation Army, 10 Spring St. (P.O. Box 608), Gloversville. Online donations can be given at Any online donations will be matched this year. Billy Fuccillo also has agreed to match any donations given at his stores, hosting two kettles at Amsterdam Fuccillo until the end of the year.

Again, we are amazed at the generosity of this community, showing sharing is caring. Merry Christmas and happy new year. May God bless and be with each of you.
