Dolgeville girls fall to Adirondack

BOONVILLE – Summer Patrick scored 16 points, leading Adirondack to a 49-34 win over the Dolgeville girls basketball team in the opening round of the Adirondack Holiday Hoop Tournament on Thursday.

Abby Philbrick scored 13 points for the Lady Wildcats (3-2 overall), while Sophi Williams added 11 points.

Emilie Lewandowski and Jackie Bange each scored nine points to lead Dolgeville (2-5), which lost its fifth straight game.

In the other first-round contest, Poland posted a 43-33 win over Sauquoit Valley.

Paige Sullivan scored 16 points to lead Poland (7-1 overall), while Kara Morrison had 12 points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists. Shaine Irwin scored nine points for the Tornadoes, while Brooke Gipe grabbed 10 rebounds.

Brianne Cardillo scored 10 points to lead Sauquoit Valley (2-4 overall).

Adirondack will face Poland in today’s title game at 4 p.m., while Dolgeville will face Sauquoit Valley in the consolation game at noon.
