FFCS runners earn Colonial honors

Several Fonda-Fultonville runners were among those selected for the recently announced Colonial Council cross country all-star team.

Cameron Gilligan was named a boys first-team all-star for the Braves, while Dylan DeSorbo was named to the second team.

Kimberly Geniti and Kacie Hunter were named girls second-team all-stars for Fonda-Fultonville.

Lansingburgh had Mike Miller, Dante Carr ad Jan Carlos Albarran named to the boys first team, while Albany Academy’s Griffin Keegan, Schalmont’s Jon Riccardi and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk’s Angel Colon also earned first-team honors.

Cobleskill-Richmondville had Joe Baron, Warren Mau and Jonathan DiCesare named boys second-team all-stars. Rounding out the second team were Schalmont’s Tim Budka, Albany Academy’s Max Tulchinsky and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk’s Ryan Morrow.

Holy Names had five of its runners named to the girls first team. Kaylee Scott, Lydia Williams, Leah Triller, Meredith Franchini and Arissa Spitalny all earned first-team honors for Holy Names.

Also named to the girls first team were Cobleskill-Richmondville’s Kim Brizzee and Schalmont’s Julia Flower.

Joining Fonda-Fultonville’s Geniti and Hunter on the girls second team were Cohoes’ Sarah Carter, Holy Names’ Kaitlin Close, Schalmont’s Samantha Reagan, Holy Names’ Mackenzie Kennedy and Cobleskill-Richmondville’s Jordon Fogel.
