Man sentenced to weekends in jail

JOHNSTOWN – A Gloversville man was sentenced Monday in Fulton County Court to several weekends in jail in a contempt case.

Clarence Sauve, 48, of Bleecker Street, was sentenced by Judge Polly A. Hoye, as part of a plea arrangement. He received four months of weekends in the county jail and five years of probation.

Sentencing was based on the defendant’s Sept. 23 guilty plea to one count of first-degree criminal contempt. Sauve was arrested Jan. 2.
