50 Plus Club reports on meeting

JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown 50 Plus Club recently held its Christmas party, catered by Whitey’s Market, with 50 people attending. After lunch, the entertainment for the group was a musical Christmas concert by the Betty Green Choir from Gloversville. The club members are encouraging guests to stop by the Shirley J. Luck Senior Citizens Center, 109 E. Main St., at 1 p.m. Thursday when the Canajorharie High School bell ringers will be performing a Christmas concert. Refreshments and door prizes will follow the concert.

The officers are preparing for their annual New Year’s Day party at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 31. The tickets are available in the business office for the luncheon party at the cost of $14.

The business office is accepting new toys for the Toys for Tots program and/or canned food items for the local food pantry, either item may be dropped off in boxes in the lobby between now and Wednesday.
