Emedio M. ‘Rick’ Pazzaglia
Emedio M. “Rick” Pazzaglia, age 81, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Nov. 3, 1932, the son of the late Migliano Pazzaglia and Elide Franchi Pazzaglia.
Mr. Pazzaglia graduated from Johnstown High School and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He worked for many years as a project manager for Tecta America of Illinois. Rick was of the Catholic faith, a communicant of Holy Trinity Church and a member of Local 241 Roofers Union, Albany.
Survivors include: his wife, Gloria Gordon Pazzaglia, whom he married on July 7, 1962; three sons, Anthony Pazzaglia, Joe (Mirella) Pazzaglia and Michael Pazzaglia, all of Johnstown; five daughters, Lisa Cooper of Johnstown, Regina Pazzaglia of Gloversville, Nicole (Lynn) Hollister of Johnstown, Sally Meade of Johnstown and Susan Jennison of Tallahassee, Florida; one sister, Rosemary (Anthony) Corsi of Clifton Park; seven grandchildren, Megan, Courtney, Josh, Anthony, Mia, Alex and Abigail; three great-grandchildren, Ellie, Joselyn and Shiyah; and several nieces and nephews
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
The Pazzaglia family would give special thanks to the Hospice staff, Lynn, Mary, the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams and Dr. Shah for the care and compassion they provided to Rick.
