Police seek information on driver
GLOVERSVILLE – City police said officers are seeking information about a man possibly trying to lure a child into his vehicle.
According to police, a child was walking down East Fulton Street, near Cedar Street, around 6 p.m. Thursday night. The child was approached by a dark colored full size truck, possibly a Dodge Ram.
Police said the driver asked the child if he needed a ride. The child declined and said he was calling his mother, causing the subject to drive off.
Police said according to the child, this was the second time he was approached by this truck with the same person driving. The driver approached the child Sunday around 7:30 p.m. to ask if the child needed a ride, police said.
Police said there is no indication the driver took any steps to physically get the child into the vehicle.
Police said the truck had a quad cab and silver toolbox in the bed. The truck had lights on top and a pink ribbon on the back. The vehicle also had rusted wheels and a loud exhaust. The driver was described as a black male with graying hair, with a gray hat and glasses, possibly sunglasses.
