Council to consider ACA-related deal

JOHNSTOWN – The Common Council on Monday will consider an agreement with a firm to perform administrative services for the city related to the federal Affordable Care Act.

The council will consider an agreement with Benetech Inc. of North Greenbush for 2014 at its 7 p.m. meeting at City Hall. The company recently gave a presentation to the council about how it can help the city with changes related to the Affordable Care Act. The firm would do initial testing to see if the city is complying with the act.

In other business, the council will consider over a dozen resolutions on topics that cover: budget amendments, appointments, bids, surplus equipment and vehicles, economic development, the transfer station, and a housing application.
