H.S. Wrestling Roundup: South Glens Falls defeats Johnstown

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – South Glens Falls won nine of 13 weight classes on its way to a 47-24 win over Johnstown in a Foothills Council wrestling match Wednesday.

Derek Holden (113 pounds), Brandon Bruttomesso (160), Xavier DeLuke (170) and Peter DeMarco (195) all won by pinfall for South Glens Falls (4-4 overall, 1-0 Foothills).

Matt Saville (132) eked out a 3-2 decision over Johnstown’s Peter Wilson, while Reggie Wren (145) and Josh Ruddy (152) each won by major decision for the Bulldogs.

Antonio Izzo (126) and Zach Morris (138) added forfeit wins for South Glens Falls.

Austin Brand (182) won by pinfall for Johnstown (0-1 overall, 0-1 Foothills), while Nate Dutcher (120), Ethan Hale (220) and Garrett Hadcock (285) won by forfeit.

There were double forfeits at 99 and 106 pounds.
