Hike scheduled to Glasgow Mills

CAROGA – HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, recently announced its annual Holiday De-Stressor Hike is scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m.

According to a news release, the group will hike to Glasgow Mills. It is rated easy and will be about three miles round trip.

In the release, Littauer’s Director of Community Education and Nordic Ski Patrol, Sue Cridland, invited people to “take a break from the holiday hustle by joining us for a de-stressing hike (or snowshoe) along Glasgow Creek to an isolated pond and the site of an 1800s sawmill.”

The group will meet on Glasgow Road. The hike is open to those with outdoor walking experience and physical ability to go the distance.

There is a $6 guide fee payable in advance at HealthLink to reserve your space.

In the event of snow, snowshoes will be available to loan for those wanting to ‘try it out’ before purchasing a pair of their own.
