Paul Carruth, age 22, of Cutter Lane, Johnstown, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. Paul was born on June 7, 1991, and was the son of Leticia Carruth of St. Albans, NY. Paul was born in New York City and attended New York City schools. In July of 2010, Paul moved to Johnstown and attended Lexington’s Quest II Day services. Paul is survived by his dear friend, Jeanette Freese, and her family.
Paul was an avid sports fan and loved the New York Yankees. He was very musically inclined and loved hip hop and rap. Paul was a great bowler and also excelled in competitive sports. He was a Special Olympian athlete who received many awards.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, from 10-11 a.m. at the Gloversville Funeral Services on the corner of Second Avenue and Main Street. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, with the Rev. RW Williams officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in Paul’s name to the Lexington Foundation, 465 N. Perry Street, Johnstown, or to the NYS Special Olympics.
