Raiders lose to Schenectady County

JOHNSTOWN – Jeremy Gregg finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead Schenectady County Community College to a 77-70 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a Mountain Valley Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday.

The Royals led 34-32 at the half and outscored FMCC 43-38 in the second half to earn the win.

Ryan Stempsey scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Royals, while Aaron Francis had 15 points.

Shateek Garlic added 13 points and 14 rebounds for SCCC.

Kadeem Stanislas scored 12 points to lead FMCC, while Marquis Edwards had 10 points. Carlos Rivera added eight rebounds for the Raiders.

Fulton-Montgomery (3-4 overall) is scheduled to travel to SUNY Delhi on Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest.
