Raiders top Cannoneers in OT

WATERTOWN – With 1:59 to play in regulation, the Fulton-Montgomery Community College men’s basketball team hed a 70-58 win over Jefferson Community College.

The Cannoneers rallied to force overtime, but the Raiders were able to emerge with the 90-86 overtime victory.

Tyrone Davis and Darius Ward sank free throws late in overtime to help seal the win for FMCC, which had nine different players score.

Ward finished with a team-high 21 points for the Raiders, while Khaleeq Baum scored 15 points. Marquis Edwards posted 12 points for FMCC, while Kadeem Stanislas added 11 points.

Jagger Freeman finished with a game-high 28 points to lead Jefferson (3-4 overall). Dustin Pond scored 15 points for the Cannoneers, while Samuel Widrick added 12 points.

FMCC (3-3 overall), which has won two of its last three, will host Schenectady County Community College on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.
