Nadler resigning as town justice
JOHNSTOWN- Town Justice Donald Nadler is resigning from office, according to Supervisor Nancy MacVean.
MacVean said this morning that Nadler sent a letter of resignation to the Town Board, saying he will step down from the position.
“He will be gone as of the end of the year,” MacVean said.
According to MacVean, Nadler stepped down due to personal reasons.
According to MacVean, David R. Edwards, a former town justice, will fill in for the remaining year of Nadler’s term.
Edwards previously held the town justice seat, according to MacVean, but stepped down to make an unsuccessful bid for Fulton County Sheriff against Tom Lorey in 2007.
The other town justice is Karen Palmateer.
