‘Rock’ to help Fort Plain

I am writing to invite your readers to attend a very important event. On Sunday, a benefit concert, Rock the Mohawk, featuring four live bands, will be held at the Fort Plain Elementary School gymnasium. The music begins at 1 p.m.; the doors will open at noon.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to support our friends and neighbors in Fort Plain still working to put their homes and lives back together following the June flooding. There remains much work to be done.

Admission will be $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 16 (those younger than 6 get in for free), and $25 for a family. Included with every paid admission is a chance to win four tickets to any Adirondack Phantoms hockey game at the Glens Falls Civic Center, a bus trip to New York City, membership to a fitness center and more great prizes.

Please consider bringing the entire family for a day of entertainment, raffles, a Chinese auction and refreshments.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 922-7391. Let’s have a large turnout for this great cause.
