Man threatened to kill woman: police

GLOVERSVILLE – A man was arrested Tuesday after he threatened to kill a woman, city police said.

Franklin S. Lobdell, 40, of 4 N. Water St., was charged with first-degree coercion, a felony, second-degree menacing and second-degree reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors.

Police said officers responded to his residence for the report of a disturbance. Lobdell held a woman against her will, and menaced and threatened to kill her with a knife, police said.

Lobdell was transported to the station where he was held for arraignment.
