Lady Raiders win big over Broome, 93-57

BINGHAMTON – Fulton-Montgomery Community college’s Lady Raiders took charge late in the first half and rolled to a 93-57 win over the Broome Community College Lady Hornets on Sunday. The win boosts FM’s record to 2-0.

The score was tied 28-28 with 6:21 left in the first half, but FM outscored Broome 21-5 in those final minutes to gain a 49-33 halftime lead.

FM’s standout sophomore guard Kassandra Flowers led the Lady Raiders with 23 points. Freshman Stephanie Rice had another big game and netted 13 points.

The Lady Raiders’ next outing will be Saturday in the opening game of double-header action when they will host the Lady Spartans of Cayuga Community College with a 1 p.m. start. That game will feature a special veterans celebration.
