FMCC women rout Tompkins-Cortland

DRYDEN – Stephanie Rice finished with 23 points and six rebounds, powering the Fulton-Montgomery Community College women’s basketball team to an 89-58 win over Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Saturday in the season opener for both teams.

Katrina Garrett and Kassandra Flowers each had 11 points for FMCC, while Sherice Gayle grabbed 13 rebounds. Monae Abrams added 12 rebounds for the Lady Raiders.

Ruthanne Forehand scored 18 points to lead Tompkins-Cortland (0-1 overall)

FMCC (1-0 overall) will travel to Broome Community College today for a 1 p.m. contest.
