Couple to marry next fall

Janice and Michael Christman of Gloversville and Teresa and Daniel Poissant of Abilene, Texas, announce the engagement of their children, Lisa Chirieleison and Justin Poissant.

Chirieleison is a graduate of Johnstown High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Adams State University in 2011 and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2013.

Chirieleison is a clinical mental health counselor with the Pensacola Metro Treatment Center. She is the granddaughter of Eileen Waffle, who resides at Fulton Center in Gloversville and sister of Wendy Chirieleison, who also resides in Gloversville.

Poissant graduated high school at Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine, in 2001. He earned a bachelor of science degree in medical biology at the University of New England in 2005 and a doctor of osteopathic medicine from the Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009.

He is an officer in the United States Navy and is stationed at Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., as a board-certified family physician.

Poissant is the grandson of Norma and Ralph Massey of Abilene, Texas, and Herve and Madeleine Poissant of Buxton, Maine.

A wedding is planned for October 2014.
