DiGiacomo cares for town
Over the past few years, it has become very evident the voting of the people is very, very important in determining what our governments are going to be like.
Over the past 12 years in the town of Broadalbin the property tax rate has been held constant by the supervisor(s) and the Town Board. This is not done without some effort by the supervisor – in this case, by Joe DiGiacomo who is running for supervisor again this year.
Joe DiGiacomo runs a New England-type town meeting, which is to say he includes the residents in the meeting and not just as spectators. He is sensitive to the needs and issues of the town and expects the board and staff to adhere to the town policies and procedures.
Joe has completed the creation of the first water district in the town (outside the village) and is working with residents to develop a town park. He is a local businessman and represents the town on the Fulton County Board of Supervisors. He also is a member of the Great Sacandaga Lake Advisory Council and has worked with officials and agencies of New York state.
As such, I have felt comfortable serving with him on the Town Board. At this time, I feel he is the most experienced person to lead the town.
I would encourage the town of Broadalbin voters to vote for Joe DiGiacomo for town supervisor on Nov. 5.
Councilman, town of Broadalbin
