Boys Soccer Roundup: Maple Hill edges Amsterdam on PKs

SCHODACK – Nick Fettuccia and Bryce Perry scored in regulation for Maple Hill, which topped Amsterdam on penalty kicks in the opening round of the Maple Hill Tournament on Saturday.

Ryan Krupa and Lee Soja each had an assist for the Wildcats.

Taliq Sims and Jared Weissman scored for Amsterdam (5-5-2 overall).

Dillon Smith made 13 saves for the Rams, while Tom Miller made 12 stops for Maple Hill.


Schalmont 8, Fonda-Fultonville 0

FONDA – Gino Rossi and Zach Ericson scored two goals apiece to lead Schalmont over Fonda-Fultonville 8-0 in Colonial Council boys soccer action Saturday at Fonda-Fultonville High School.

Also netting goals for the Sabres were Devin Murphy, Richard Potter, R.J. Hayden and Cameron LaVallee. Hayden picked up a pair of assists to go with his goal and Chris hamilton added two assists.

Tyler Folmsbee collected 13 saves in goal for the Braves on 25 Schalmont shots, while Alex Chiaravalle collected four stops on eight Fonda-Fultonville shots. The Sabres held a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.
