Case adjourned until?Oct. 16
GLOVERSVILLE – A Speculator man who allegedly threatened to shoot up Gloversville High School “Columbine style” had his case adjourned in City Court recently.
Trevor Blanchard, 24, of 104 Stanyon Park Drive, Speculator – who was charged last month with making terrorist threats and disseminating indecent materials to minors, both felonies – had his case adjourned until Oct. 16 at 9 a.m.
Blanchard has been assigned Mike Sutton, of Albany, to represent him.
According to Assistant Fulton County District Attorney Chad Brown, Sutton requested Friday the date be adjourned and has waived the felony hearing for his client.
Police previously said Blanchard allegedly sent a female Gloversville High School student a message, requesting photos of her. When she refused, police said, Blanchard allegedly sent lewd photos and subsequently made threats toward the girl and her friends, whose names he got through social media.
Police said Blanchard subsequently sent messages to the girl stating: “I’ll pull a Columbine” and “Goodbye, GHS.”
Authorities said Blanchard and the girl did not know each other.
