Planning Board chair died: mayor
GLOVERSVILLE – Mayor Dayton King announced during the Common Council meeting Tuesday that Planning Board Chairman William Ferguson died last week while out of state to visit his new grandchild.
“I want to remember him as a great member of our community and perhaps think about him during our moment of silence tonight,” King said.
Ferguson’s term was set to end Dec. 31, 2017.
The city Planning Board elected James Anderson as its vice chairman in?February.
King said this morning the city appointed Brenda Leitt, who was previously an alternate on the Planning Board, to a full-time member. The council will appoint a new alternate eventually, he said.
