H.S. Volleyball Roundup: Lady Patriots outlast Spartans

QUEENSBURY – Keyana Fariello posted 30 digs, leading Broadalbin-Perth to 3-2 win over Queensbury in a Foothills Council match Friday.

The Lady Patriots won by scores of 25-18, 15-25, 25-23, 16-25 and 25-22.

Gabby Smith had 12 assists for the Lady Patriots, while Chelsea LeBlanc had five kills and five blocks. Megan Ryder finished with 18 digs and six kills for B-P (4-2 overall, 4-2 Foothills).

Kristen O’Connor had 27 digs and four aces for Queensbury (4-2 Foothills), while Katelyn Ripley had 22 digs and 18 kills. Courtney Keys added six blocks and four kills for the Spartans.

Johnstown 3, South Glens Falls 0

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Morgan Catania finished with nine assists and five digs to help Johnstown to a sweep of South Glens Falls in a Foothills Council match.

The Lady Bills won by scores of 25-6, 25-15 and 25-16.

Annie Stock posted six aces, five digs and four kills for Johnstown (7-1 overall, 6-0 Foothills), while Bri O’Rourke finished with six blocks and four kills. Alyssa Nellis had six digs, four blocks and two kills for the Lady Bills, and Jerica Holland registerd eight aces, six digs, six assists and three kills.

Gloversville 3, Hudson Falls 2

HUDSON FALLS – Gloversville outlasted Hudson Falls in five games in a Foothills Council match.

The Huskies won by scores of 25-21, 25-19, 21-25, 21-15 and 25-23.

Tanner Barton had 11 kills for Hudson Falls (4-4 overall, 2-4 Foothills), while Reagan Collier had 12 kills and 11 digs. Tommie Hanlon had six aces for the Tigers.

Scotia-Glenville 3, Glens Falls 2

GLENS FALLS – Hannah Berning had six kills to lead Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council win over Glens Falls.

The Lady Tartans won 25-13, 23-25, 25-15, 21-25 and 25-15.

Danielle Gagnon had three kills for Scotia-Glenville, while Morgan Adams added 30 assists.

Colonial Council

Fonda-Fultonville 3, Mechanicville 2

FONDA – Cory Lais finished with eight service points, seven kills and three aces to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a win over Mechanicville.

The Lady Braves won by scores of 25-16, 24-26, 25-10, 23-25 and 25-16.

Miranda Nethaway had 15 kills and three blocks for FFCS (6-1 overall, 6-1 Colonial), while Abby Oliver added 16 service points and five aces.

Alydia Zecca registered 20 assists for Mechanicville (3-4 Colonial), while Paige Phelan had 11 kills, eight points and four aces.

Big 10

Catholic Central 3, Amsterdam 0

TROY – Jenah Schnellnacker finished with 12 kills leading Catholic Central to a sweep of Amsterdam on Thursday.

The Crusaders won by scores of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-18.

Yari Laboy had four kills for Amsterdam (1-4 overall, 1-3 Big 10), while Cassidy Arocho posted three assists and two aces.
