Mildred Vollero Cenzano

Mrs. Mildred Vollero Cenzano, 96, of Gloversville, passed away Tuesday morning, September 17, 2013, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.

Born on September 4, 1917, in St. Paul, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Filomena (Riccio) Vollero.

She was employed by St. Thomas of Gloversville for many years until her retirement

Mrs. Cenzano was married to Henry Joseph Cenzano, who passed away on September 9, 1983.

Mildred had a strong will and a great spirit. She was an example of what longevity should be like. Upon retirement, her and her husband enjoyed traveling around the country. She liked to dance and was the first one on the dance floor at weddings and family events. She was a fun loving person, and at neighborhood parties, she would join in downing a few jello shots with everyone. Cheers Millie!

Besides her husband, Henry Joseph, she was predeceased by her son, Henry Michael Cenzano; and her sisters, Mary Ralston and Viola Demarest; and brothers, Tony, Joe and Lawrence Vollero.

Mrs. Cenzano is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Cenzano of Gloversville; a son, Lawrence (Linda) Cenzano of Gloversville; grandsons, Todd (Jennifer) Cenzano, Christopher (Kristie) Cenzano and Colin (Brigette) Warner; great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Adriana and Kalei.

Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements are with Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
