Girls Soccer Roundup: Schoharie tops Canajoharie, 4-0

SCHOHARIE – Carolyn Krohn finished with two goals, leading Schoharie to a 4-0 win over Canajoharie in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest Monday.

Seana Cleveland had a goal and an assist for the Indians, while McKenzie Phelan also scored.

Kaitlin Kendall had two assists for Schoharie, while Kailee VanGasbeck had one assist.

Sydney Stanley finished with seven saves to earn the shutout win in goal for Schoharie.

Lauren Balfe and Andrea Dingman combined to make 10 saves for Canajoharie (2-2 overall, 2-1 WAC).

Middleburgh 7, Fort Plain 0

FORT PLAIN – Amanda Roney finished with four goals and two assists, leading Middleburgh to a shutout win over Fort Plain in a Western Athletic Conference contest.

Alisha LeRuzic added three goals and an assist for the Knights.

Fort Plain slipped to 0-4-1 overall and 0-3-1 in WAC play with the loss.

Duanesburg 4, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 0

DUANESBURG – Maeve McKeeby finished with two goals and two assists, leading Duanesburg to a shutout win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo in a Western Athletic Conference contest.

Megan Wilkes and Devon Hennel also scored for the Eagles.

Nicole Cassale made five saves to earn the shutout win in goal for Duanesburg.

Julianna Martin recorded six saves for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.
