Johnstown’s Askew, Mowrey record wins

QUEENSBURY – Erica Askew swam to a pair of individual victories and Cecelia Mowrey picked up an individual win as the Johnstown swimmers came up on the short end of the 87-64 score against Queensbury on Thursday afternoon.

Askew touched the wall first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:18.72 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.14.

Mowrey took first place honors in the 500-yard freestyle with her time of 5:54.57.

Johnstown’s 200 freestyle relay team of Emma Rizzo, Kaylie Bonfey, Julia Airey and Erica Wagner picked up the win with their time of 2:04.82.

The Johnstown 400 freestyle relay team of Airey Wagner, Emily Miles and Mowrey picked up the win with their time of 4:03.67.
