Tournament helped club

On June 15, the Gloversville Boys & Girls Club held the 1st annual Zach Biron Memorial Dodgeball Tournament. Much needed funds were raised to support programming at the club. The purpose of the Boys & Girls Club is to provide social, educational, health, leadership and character development programming to boys and girls during critical periods of their growth.

As always, there are many people to thank. Thank you to the Gloversville Enlarged School District for the use of the facility and all your help on the day of the event. Thank you to Rob and Laura for bringing your hot dog cart and donating proceeds to the club. Thank you to Final Reward for printing our T-shirts on such short notice and the donation of the plaques. Thank you to our referees – Nicole, Cody, and Frank. Thank you to our awesome DJ, James Bordis. Thank you to the Board of Managers for all of your hard work.

Thank you to all the teams that participated: Triple D’s (Dodging Duck Dynasty), Partner’s Pub, The Purple Cobras, Orange You Glad We Didn’t Say Banana, Wolfpack, Rusty Hooks, The Golden Monkies, Pete Hryniak/Euphrates, The Daft Punks, Miller Time, Your Mother’s Allstars, and Smooth Operators. Congratulations to our winners: First place – Wolfpack, Second place – Partner’s Pub, Third place – Rusty Hooks and Most Team Spirit – Orange You Glad We Didn’t Say Banana.

Thank you to the Biron and Gagne families for allowing us to celebrate Zach and his love of the Boys & Girls Club.

The success of our club starts in the community and as always the community came through. Thank you to anyone who donated, volunteered, came out to watch, participated and supported us.
