H.S. Golf Roundup: Patriots lose to Tartans

VAIL MILLS – Mike Dwyer carded a 36 to lead Scotia-Glenville to a 149-164 win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council golf match Tuesday at Holland Meadows Golf Course.

David Renko and Tyler Popp each finished with rounds of 37 for the Tartans (8-1 Foothills), while Dan Omicinski added a 39.

Alex Bond had a 37 to lead Broadalbin-Perth (4-5 overall, 3-5 Foothills), while Brett Getman posted a 39. Brent Bochenek recorded a 41 for the Patriots and Noah Scott finished with a 47.


Saratoga Catholic 10, Northville-Mayfield 5

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Kayla Szekely registered a 37, leading Saratoga Central Catholic to a win over Northville-Mayfield in a Western Athletic Conference match at Saratoga Spa State Park.

Drew Welcome and Colin Bradley each finished with rounds of 44 for the Saints, while Dylan Seeber carded a 45.

Chloe Ethier had a 46 for Saratoga Catholic and Michael Naughton finished with a 51.

Jordon Fordyce led Northville-Mayfield with a 44, while Gavon Wynn and Fran Coulter each had a 47. Tom Pauleski recorded a 58 for Northville-Mayfield, David Servello had a 59 and Cody O’Meara added a 76.

Amsterdam 168, Schenectady 171

SCHENECTADY – James Phelps carded a 38 to lead Amsterdam to a win over Schenectady.

Corey Tambasco posted a 42 for the Rams, while Andy Madej had a 43. Marc LaBahn registered a 45 for Amsterdam, Jon LaBahn had a 47 and Kevin Ottati added a 50.

Calvin Cleworth led Schenectady with a 39, while Jason Cyr posted a 40.

Wyatt Pisarski had a 45 for the Patriots, Christine Guidarelli posted a 47, Jacob Wilson finished with a 50 and Emma Ward added a 52.
