AHS girls tennis tops Catholic Central

AMSTERDAM – The Amsterdam girls tennis team won five of six singles matches and all three doubles contests on its way to an 8-1 win over Catholic Central in a Big 10 match at Amsterdam High School.

Kristie Kaczmarek, Ella Dybas, Arizona Santiago, Caitlin Gannon and Gabby DiSalvi all won singles matches for the Lady Rams.

In doubles play, the teams of Tessa Filiberto and Prabha Singh, Molly Monge and Maddie Janetsky, and Gianna Quatrini and Brianna Ziobro recorded victories for Amsterdam.

Danielle Behonin posted the lone win for Catholic Central, picking up a victory at No. 2 singles.

Amsterdam (4-1 overall, 2-0 Big 10) will travel to Troy on Wednesday.
